I need help fast please

My chameleon is female about 9 months +. Eats mostly crickets sprinkled with reptivite every other day. For a week she has occasionally been hangin out at the bottom of cage so I thought I should add a nesting box. She doesn't want to go in box. Yesterday something started protruding from her rear end and she is climbing and moving around more than usual. Does anyone know what this could be?

Its a prolapse. put some ky on it and get to a vet. or ive heard sugar dissolved in warm water can help shrink it.

if you got ky jelly put it on it and take her to the vets or vets hospital fast you gotta keep that moist this happens often to chams so find out what vet place specializes in reptiles and take her there. best of luck!!!

prolapse , i do hope you manage to get her to the vets , another member had this happen not long ago , fiona and i believe hers had an op and is doing fine now , good luck

Hope your cham will be ok with the prolapse. On another note, I noticed something you said about your supplements and wanted to make you aware. You need three supplements to dust your feeders with. Calcium without d3 every feeding, calcium with d3 twice a month and a multivitamin twice a month. I don't know which Reptivite you have so which ever one it is please adjust your dusting schedule accordingly! Good luck and let us know how your chameleon is doing. Also it may be beneficial for you to fill this out so we can make sure all your other husbandry is correct. https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/ Lastly here is a blog from one of our members for you to read in regards to egg laying preparation. https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/jannb/345-egg-laying-laying-bin.html

Thank you

Thanks for all your concerns, I took my girl to the vet early morning on the 4th of July, $280.00 + dollars later all is well. The vet put it back in and added 2 stitches to hold it in place. $280.00 sounds bad but it’s not about the money its about family.

thats right nothing is more important then family. also it never hurts to have some ky for future mishaps as well as eye ointment that you can get from tikitikireptiles one of our site sponsers in case of eye problems. glad your cham is doing better!!!:D keep a close eye on her for the next week or two to be on the safe side!!!
