I need a professional's opinion!

So my 6month old veiled decided to go on a hunger strike on me. I have had him since he was only weeks old. I tried all kinds of worms since baby but the only thing he ate has been crickets. Latetly he's been hunting down flies and moths in the garden like crazy. So I guess my concern is: are winged bugs hard to digest for him????

They won't be as easy to digest.. A little easier than mealworms and stuff I guess. I'm not a professional, I'm sorry.. But I was reading this thread that fireflies are toxic so just watch for them if you take him/her out at like dusk.. :)

A hunger strike on crickets?... That seems a little strange... usually they shut down the crickets. Try hornworms, silkworms, dubia roaches, phoenix worms, butterworms, mantids, or anything else you can get your hands on. Wild insects are not the safest, since they may carry parasites or pesticides. Moths can be offered occasionally, as enrichment food.

hunger strikes for a veiled seem to be quite common especially off crickets try other feeders like dubia roaches or silk worms. Ours started refusing crickets months ago, still wont touch them we had to replace crickets with dubias... not the easiest thing to do in canada (illegal) and gave him the odd super and hornworm
