I lost my chameleon in a tree. Advice?

Hi,

I have a juvenile male Jackson cham and we were climbing a candlenut tree. I took my eye off of him for, like, 20 seconds max. He up and ditched. The candlenut tree is not atrociously tall (maybe thirty feet) and I'm pretty sure if I spotted him I could retrieve him. I live on a mountain in Hawaii so I'm not particularly concerned about the climate, but predatory birds are real. Plus I miss my lil' dragon. He's been out of sight for about three hours.

Any tips on how to spot him?

That's a pretty tall/big tree to have to look for him in. Try using a flashlight at night because he should be a lighter color...sleeping (so still) and might show up in the tree.

Can he get to any other trees? Anything else?

He can probably reach the neighbor's shrubs, and he can reach my chainlink fence. I'm kinda just banking on the hope that he didn't

I'll try to look for him with a flashlight now
