What exactly should i do when winter comes what should i buy or do to make sure he doesnt freeze to death

Besides your regular heating and UVB lamp I would get a ceramic emitter for nights. That way it will stay toasty in his cage. What kind of chameleon do you have?

Okay well I am not 100% familiar with Jacksons but they do need that temp drop regardless. Now Jacksons chameleons are from africa and some in the mountains where it is up high and the temp drops dramatically at night. I would think that as long as it doesn't get below 50 degrees in your house he should be fine even without an emitter. I do know that Veiled chameleons(who require more heat than a Jacksons) can withstand a drop of down to almost 50 degrees.

Alright thanks man i appreciate it

Anytime! Glad I could help you out. Don't be afraid to post any questions you have about your Jacksons. I don't have experience with them but I know a lot of great forum members that do. And Welcome to the forums!
