Bought baby girl on 5th of June from big box store. Took her back to store on the 20th so they could take her to the vet, they had her for a week before getting her to the vet then said nothing was wrong with her. Brought her home Tuesday and she still didn't look great but was moving. This morning she looks horrible and is not moving. I have a 2x2x4 with heat bulb, t5 6.0 arcadia bulb, misters and I water her all day. She has a lay bin and has eating only 2 small dubias. She does not want to eat I thought maybe that was cause pet store feeds crickets.im so heartbroken I don't think she is going to make till tomorrow to go to the vet again.

And the only thing the vet said was she was dehydrated. She drinks alot well did the first day back

Ugg I wish I would have known they told you to bring her back. I would have told you not to. Big box stores are not good at actually taking them to the vet. Also most do not have vets that actually know the animals they take in. For them it is a business... If an animal dies it becomes a write off for them. Not a heart break like it is for us actually keeping them.

Do me a favor and open your door to the cage and take a pic of the entire thing. I need to see how the lay bin is situated... Not that I think she has the energy to lay. Also need more pics of her. Would like to see her face and eyes better along with her back half... Looks kinda like she is holding eggs but not 100% sure.

Is she gripping branches ok? Or is she losing her grip strength?

Let me know what else you need

She grips she just doesn't want to. We noticed she likes laying with one arm one legs just dangling well we thought that was just her personality

@kinyonga @MissSkittles what do you see... I am not good with seeing eggs like yall.

I do not see anything that stands out physically but I would be concerned about not gripping properly... Might need to set up a hospital bin for her.

What do I need for that I am willing to try anything, my hubs want to take her back so we don't have to go through the heartache of loosing her but I'm already there and can't stop crying.

With you she has a chance... It may be a small chance but she actually has one.

Here was my hospital bin... I used screen but you do not have to I just did not know my UVB as well back then. With a T5 and a 6% bulb you just want 11 inch distance without screen.

Everything is close to the ground so they can not fall far.

IT is one of those large totes. I got the clear kind so I could see what was happening.

I would not use heat on it unless you have a clamp lamp so you can get it up and away. These tubs heat up really fast so you have to be careful.

I can do all of that, I have a bin should I put a lid with water? Do I need to try to get her to eat or put a bin with sand to lay ? I do have calci worms and horn worms on the way

I would not use a lid... Keep everything low in it so she can not crawl up and out.... You can hand mist. You could try to put the lay bin in it but honestly I do not know if she will use it. It takes a lot of energy for them to dig and lay.

Let me rephrase that should I use a small lid for water?

Typically they will not drink from standing surfaces. I am not sure if that would be useful. If you have a small pothos you can put it that would be good. THen you can spray that down.

Is it being said that she’s dehydrated because of her sunken eyes? What colour are her urates?

Unfortunately, I think she could be suffering from follicular stasis or egg binding and will need to be spayed….but you need a good exotics/chameleon vet to tell you and to do it asap.
