Hi everyone.

I own a small turtle shelter in my basement with 18 housers currently. Some bigger than dinner plates.
I just found a deal recently with a chamelion, and 65 gallon aquarium with wooden enclosure built over it.
I have considered having a lizard as personal pet for some time.
Im going to restore the aquarium for turtles and rebuild the enclusre.

Im worried about transporting him on an hour long drive, whats the safest way to do this without risking his health?

the man said this chameleon has not bin handled what so ever pretty much. Should I not try to tame him or is there ways to fix this?

hope to find some suggestions.

I am not sure if there is a way to "tame" persay. You may get a good laid back cham who doesnt mind company..or you may get one that just downright wants to chomp your hand off... Its up to the cham and should never be forced.

The best way, a small box with a towel. Make sure the environment is warm (dont stick him in a freezing car or a sweltering hot one either). Comfortable. Wrap him gently in the towel leaving the face uncovered and put a lif on the box.. poke a few holes in it.. He should be safe for the hour that it takes.. Others might have some more handy ideas..:)

Congrats if you do decide and neat on the turtles.

I bought a year old veiled from a guy on this site, and he was not really ever handled. Very good health though. Taking them out of the cage is a bitch! they get really pissed! but if you get em out and let them crawl around on you for a bit them get used to you after a week or so, but dont over do the hanlding and also dont handle them if they are black all the time, that means they are stressed.
