I have an idea for a drip bottle replacement

So, we went on vacation to Hawai'i in early December and Loki was staying at home by himself! I fed him like crazy and let some crickets go in his cage before we left and he's got a mist king and drainage system to keep the humidity right while we were gone...but how was I going to give him the drip of water that he loves to take showers under, and clean his eyes? Well, we are also in the salt water reef hobby and my husband suggested a dosing pump! It can only be ran 4 hours a day, so I put it on a timer when the mister had a break this would run for an hour 4 times a day, and it worked like a charm! I came back to a hydrated cham :) Here is the link to it, I think it was completely worth it!

I like this idea... I might look into it. I had a dual dripper/mister running but developed a really nasty mold problem in the dripper reservoir. I can't get to it to clean it out everyday (my cage is 7ft tall), so I had to take it out. Back to see only a mister until I figure out another solution. Maybe it's time for a second pump in the system.

Yea, I think it's a great way to automate the dripper, especially for vacations :)

I'm currently using a small 230w 5amp mini line pump that I took from an a/c unit in work which is constantly recirculating the water for my dripper. I change out the water once a week though :D
