I have a very sneaky girl

Chamalot Chameleons
I have two female ambilobe that I got a while ago from forum member, Jerm.

One is super sweet and never hisses or bites and the other one is the meanest chameleon I have ever owned and would take my finger off if she could.... Because of this, their names are Sugar and Salt ( Ill let you guess which one is which :p )

in March bred Salt with one of my ambiobe males and waited for her to lay... but she never did. I didn't see any lumps of eggs in her and she wouldn't allow me to feel for any. So I just figured it wasn't her time yet. A month later I was re-doing her cage and decided to re-pot the plant.

I dumped the dirt out and was surprised to see pearly white eggs come tumbling out! I guess they where laid earlier that April but I never saw her dig (usually with my girls it is an all day event) and I never saw her with the tell tail dirty face. She is the only one that had been in that cage so they HAD to be her eggs, no question... I moved them and even though they took a tumble they still seem good and healthy eggs incubating now

Fast froward to today.. This time I KNEW she had eggs again. I could see lumps in her belly and she had been off her food for a few days. I was waiting patiently.

The soil in her laying bin seemed a little dry, so I misted it and started to turn the dirt for her. Making it loose and easier to dig.

AGAIN I was surprised that I turned up a few eggs ALREADY IN THE SOIL! I dug deeper and found 31 eggs in all! So now I thinking what the heck!? When did she have time to lay these how did I not see her do it?

Again she wasn't dirty and she is puffing up her belly so she doesn't look skinny. Her awful attitude makes it hard for me to palpitate her belly for eggs. But this is twice she has done this to me!!

We have changed her name to Sneaky Salt
