I finally bought him yesterday! He is a very nice looking little guy. He is about 4 months old and he is already showing very nice coloration! I will try to take some pictures maybe later this week because I want him to get used to his cage first! He is about 4 inches (not counting tail). He seems to be like a very chilled little guy! When I had to pick him up to put him on his cage he climbed into my arm and I swear it was love at first sight!. He did not hiss puff up and did not turn black. I had to react fast because when I noticed 3 minutes had passed and I was still holding him! Anyways I put him back on his cage and went to his basking spot got nice and warm and he turned very bright green and out of nowhere, 4 big yellows stripes appeared on each side of his belly! I could not believe my eyes! So far he seems to tolerate my presence pretty good. When I get close to his cage he will not panic and won't run to hide. He will just check me out with his little eyes! Seems to be pretty chill so far and isn't frightened by my presence. Basking spot is 98 degrees and his cool side on the other side of the cage is 78 degrees! I do have a question! I put 5 crickets(already gut loaded from last night) today this morning and he has not eaten a single one! I am kind of worried! Is it just because of his new environment? Thanks :) I am

I am so happy for you!!!!!!! :)
I know more experienced people will be better able to answer... but at this point I think he is not eating because he needs to get settled in. Give him time and see if he adjusts.

98 degrees is a bit too hot ... get it down in the 80s

He'll eat once he gets settled in a bit. Just make sure to mist him well.

Yup misting him only 3 times a day ( 7 am, 1 pm and 7 pm) for only 1 minute since he is in a glass tank until his mesh cage arrives this tuesday!

How can I estimate what the temp at his basking spot is? I have one of those non digital reptile little rounded temp readers that look like compasses put that just tells me the temp of the whole cage put not that high spot! i wanna make sure he won't get too hot! Ugh also I am so worried about everything! I am a never wreck that I will do something wrong to my little buddy! Since I flipped my old snake's tank so it will be tall until my mesh cage arrives, i won't be able to use my cup with a hole with my dripping system so i am really worried about that :(! I wish my new cage would just arrive already!
