I Got My Silkies and hornworms

Today i got 100 silkies and a hornworm pod. Can i put the silkies in a regular dark tote with a screened lid? or does it have to be clear also this may be a dumb question but do you have to put the hornworm pod in the refridgerator?

UPDATE- I forgot i also wanted to know how the gutloading works i thought if you fed them something other than mulberry they would die?

yes you can put them in a dark one it doesnt matter. The hornworms wont grow in the fridge so if you want them to get bigger leave them out but if you are low on food and want them to stay the same so you can feed them off put them in the fridge.
