Yea yea , i know i wont be able to hold me veiled cham all day but i want to at least be able to take him out to show him to my friends and stuff?
i dont know if i should get a veiled or panther?
or what kind of panther?
its my first cham ever..
i need tips facts what do you think?
im just very confused ):

Buy a book in the bookstore here and read it. That't the best for the beginning. Chameleons are no pets like a dog or a cat, it's not good to take them too often outside just to show them friends

I know :/ your right ,
i know not to expect somethingi can hold all day
but id like to hold him a few times a week maybe for a few min? , idk
some people claim there cham comes right to them?
that what i would like
im just very confused :(

Some chameleons like to come out where as others would much prefer to not evn see you for the rest of their lives. It depends on the personality.

thats what worries me ,
there such magnificent animals
i just dont wanna be stuck with one that hates its life , and me..
):
are there any kinda who enjoy being handled more then others?

Veileds tend to more aggressive, however I know many who are very nice, including mine. Panthers tend to be less aggressive, but again it depends on the personality. I suggest finding a reputable breeder near you and seeing if you can go there first to see it and assess it's personality. It is easier to tell also if they are older, babies tend to be very fast and flighty. I took care of a jacksons at the reptile store I work at and he was very nice but I don't know about the typical jackson and I know they are more difficult to care for and less hardy.

They are also very expensive to keep and require a lot of necessary supplies. I suggest unless you have some money saved up to wait until you do. If they get sick vet bills are very expensive also.

It sounds like you are young and not ready for a chameleon. They take a lot of care and don't give love back like a puppy or kitten. Pretty much they sit in their cage and you are responsible for feeding, cleaning poop, making sure the lighting is proper, they have proper vitamins. Maybe you could put a chameleon on your "someday" list.

Bocajan is right, maybe you could try another reptile instead? Ball pythons are easy to care for, as well as leopard and crested geckos. There are many other reptiles to choose from that would enjoy your handling.

If you want a cool reptile that enjoys being handled you should get a bearded dragon! They are pretty cool and almost always enjoy being held, you could show it to all of your friends and it wouldn't mind! And they're not as difficult to take care of, a very good reptile to start with :)

Don't be so stressed, it's good you're doing the research BEFORE you get the pet!! That is an excellent start! But if you're looking for a critter to hold, a chameleon just isn't it. Even if you get a friendly one it's still very easy to stress them out, and they don't take that well. It sounds like a gecko or bearded dragon, or maybe a snake (?) would be better because they tend to enjoy interaction much more. And they can really cool color morphs too...
