Oh wow! Thanks Karma! I figured she was just a baby because that's about the size of Pascal when we got her! The other one in there was bigger than her, I think it was also a female. Do you think she'll get bigger? I saw varying measurements, but I think some do the nose to vent and some to tail... I know when we got Pascal they said up to a 1' long, lol

I noticed at the petstore that the two kept close, and in here it says they are very social chams. Would it be wise to introduce her and Pascal after observation period? I didn't know if they'd like the "cham"panionship, lol I crack myself up being both females I don't know that there would be a territorial issue would there?
Also Rango ( Rangette?) has been sitting under the UVB bulb, just a preference or cause for concern? Just curious as Pascal sits under her basking bulb usually.
She is very friendly, I read that most are WC, but I think that she may be CB, I just don't image a WC being so friendly, she comes right over to you when she sees you. The article was very interesting and well written. I'm glad I found it, as everything else I found was contradicting each other, like karma said earlier. I'd find one that says great first cham, then another that said not, one says friendly, other says shy...
What I really enjoyed about that article is the photos and the "color chart", the picture on there shows exactly how she turned from depressed/upset to low stress when we walked on me. I feel so broken hearted for the other one still there now.
It is supposed to be awesome this weekend outside, so hopefully we'll get more pictures!

That is an excellent article. Read it closely though when she talks about them being social. They are only social as juveniles. When they get sexually mature they want their space and need to be kept apart like most other chams.
Don't feel bad for the other one. A person can't save the whole world and you got the one who wanted to come with you.

Yeah...as noted, they don't need other chameleon friends, particularly friends that aren't exactly the same sort of chameleon. It's just not them.

not sure if this has been hit on. I strongly suggest that you keep this chameleon separated from any other chameleons. Be as clean as you can with this chameleons cage and clean your hands immediately after you touch him or anything in the cage. His next poo treat it like it is biohazard and take him and the poo to a qualified vet for examination. Senegals usually are always loaded with everything in the book. Just a friendly piece of advice.
Yes, she is in isolation right now. Well actually shes on me... but iso from Pascal. I know that the theory is let them settle in, but she will turn from brown to green when she sees and and comes right over to me, once she is on me she turns greener. Today she was almost as green as Pascal when she climbed on me.
No offense to her but she seems kind of.. dumb. Not like Pascal when she was sick, but not quite right. Clumsy is maybe the word I'm looking for. I don't know if it's just a difference in the species maybe? She did not want to eat today.
My usual vet is out of state for convention, I can see another vet, but he's the only one around with much reptile experience. What would they normally give for parasites for chams? I just don't want to give her something I shouldn't because the vet is dumb and I didn't ask.
She's been very, very thirsty. I've been misting a lot, and she's been drinking a lot.

drinking alot is good, ied get a fecal exam from your usual vet..im sure its a wc and karma is right its about a year old (at least)..she may know you are helping and why she(i say she, cause i cant tell from the pics) is happy to be held by you..

Senegals don't really come as CB. Some WC are 'friendly.' keep in mind, getting bright can also indicate stress. She may also be coming to you because she doesn't like her cage (which may or may not indicate something is incorrect in it.) Try keeping her on a tree or plant when she is out and see how she reacts, but don't take her out unless she goes to you. I wouldn't even consider taking her out for now unless she climbs all the way to the front of the cage with your hand there. (I say that because if your hand is in the cage she may just think it's another branch, but if it's up front and away from her, you actually know if she want to go to you or not.)
That's what she does, she climbs over to me while I'm watching her. When she gets on me she'll just sit there for a really long time like she's content. I'm just amazed at how friendly she is, taking Pascal out can be an act of congress sometimes! Hissing and holding, or the getting half on and half off scenario...
Should I be concerned about her clumsiness? She's not like Pascal was, just... slow and seems to kind of walk into things, is this something that might be caused by a parasite issue maybe? Poor nutrition type of deal?
