I happen to stumble upon a gravid jackson. She is wild caught but has been raised and kept by a person for over a year and is very healthy with no diseases. She is sleeping now but I will post a pic tomorrow. I am so excited to be branching out from veileds a bit and the little lady will be having babies, not eggs! WOO WOO. New experience for me. I can hardly wait.

Congrats!! I have a new jackson girl too! And she is preggers too! Do you know when yours is due? These will be my first babies (veiled eggs are incubating) - I am very excited!

I'm looking forward to pics - mine is a little fattie!

I have no idea. I have no experience palpating preggers jacksons. I guess I will weigh her tomorrow and get started tracking her progress.

I used to have jacksons before. my last male passed a few months ago (old age). When you guys get your babies, let me know. I'll give you some pointers to rear them (if you like). Congrats to both of you! :D

Thanks! What are your thoughts on keeping them outside versus indoors? I'm in SoCal and I know many people keep chams outside. Is it okay to keep new babies outside? Or I should ask - is it better to keep them outside?
