I confess! Please forgive me!

Okay, I admit it. I have a breeding pair of Trioceros Quadricornis, and I keep them together in a single cage! YIKES, I finally admit it. I have never had any issues, and it is large enough with plenty of plants, vines, shrubbery, etc... There, I feel better now..

To the naysayers,
Yes I do separate them when she is gravid and needs to lay her clutch. Other than that, it has worked out awesome. Knock on wood!

I have seen some things on keeping groups of them together but most caresheets say not to keep any except pygmies together. so would be interesting to see what people say about this and how big a space is needed.

If the enclosure is big enough, it's certainly possible. There have been stories posted here of couples and even groups being housed together in really large enclosures. I think the "no, you can't" advice is really a case of giving the safest, easiest advice.

If you say "well, as long as you have a really big enclosure, so they can be completely apart when they want without even seeing each other...then that would work" you're bound to run into someone who translates that as "a 24x24x48 cage is really big! I can keep 2 in there!".

I admire you bravery! It takes guts to just fess up to violating one of the "codes".....

Interesting, I've always wondered if with a large enough enclosure and the proper precautions along with common sense lol, if you could house two chams together like that. Props for making it work.

Really? No one else wants to confess?

Come on, we are all breaking rules...

I'll confess... My tegu's are housed together which is against the advice of some keepers lol. They are getting a much larger enclosure soon, however they are just fine with each-other Provided that they are fed separately

More importantly I hand feed my little carnivores, i've been lightly grabbed once or twice but they are very gently when taking food from you because of my handling. Its highly ill advised to feed them like that because of the hand/food association but, mine are great and make no mistakes during and especially outside of feeding time. Its risky i know but i am the only one feeding them, and i trust them fully.

I confess... I haven't done a water change on my reef tank in almost a year.... still lookin great though

Haha my 40 breeder doesn't get changed very often, once it got up to 600 in nitrates:eek: Terrible lol. All the fish were fine however. Now i do water changes more often. ( every other month + refills, it heavily evaporates)

I mean, that's not really possible is it?? I could see it as a possibility if you have no fish and do not feed your coral.........

It could be an extremely lightly stocked, very large tank, or its just well balanced with good filtration, overflow, sump and refugiam attached. Totally possible though and not at all unheard of.

If I don't change my water at least once a month my tank gets pissed at me. My tank sucks. I want a tank that isn't so damn needy. I have never heard of not changing the water! Never.

I have a 65 gallon with a t5 fixture into a 10 gallon wet/dry. Not even my favorite filter but it's been working so i haven't messed with it.... Oh. and this is gonna kill you inside. DON'T HAVE MY SKIMMER HOOKED UP. IDK why it works, but it has been working great... sooo. knock on wood.

I have a long nose butterfly, black percula, 2 azure damsels, purple tang... some crabs... live rock.. snails.. a couple zooanthid colonies, a candy cane, a regular bubble tip anemene, and a huge rose bubble tip....

EDIT: AND THEY DO GET FED A FEW DAYS A WEEK
