Our female veiled chameleon had a hysterectomy 2 and a half years ago and she's been fine, altho for the last few weeks she hasn't been herself. She's still eating and drinking fine. Now this may seem strange but she's been looking really "happy" (before her op she was always bright green, happy and loved being handled. but since the op she has been the complete opposite).
a couple of weeks ago she started showing faint gravid colours but thought nothing of it because of the op she had. Now she is very green and we're able to hold her again and if i didnt know better id say she was carrying!! she has spent a lot of time sitting in the soil of her plants altho she hasnt made any attempt at digging. Is it possible the vet missed something and she could be gravid?? and if so will she be able to lay them??
We have called the vets but the guy that deals with the exotic pets is away till 21st november.
