Hygrotherm plus fogger

I just started using a hygrotherm with my repti-fogger to regulate my humidity for my baby vield. It kick the fogger on at around 55% and off at 65. Usually only has to run for 20 seconds or so. Any thoughts on this. I also mist him 2 times a day

Anyone? I see alot of people use misters instead of foggers. Is there much of a difference as long as i mist by hand for my cham to drink?

well we dont usually use foggers , for me there breeding grounds for all types of bacteria. why is it u chose to go this way ? are u having humidity problems?

Well the humidy usually stays around 40 in his small glass enclosure with a screen top so i thought the fogger with the hygrotherm would regulate the humidity for me. What is a good humdity for a veiled?

I would say get him out of the glass tank but he might be fine for awhile and I bought a Mister for my baby veiled which doesn't get used because she only likes being Misted once maybe twice a day. It was a waste on my part. Maybe ill find some use for it.. I'm new here too and with chams but like I said mine seems to be fine with a couple mists a day and completely dry in between. I don't even use a hygrometer.

I don't see why foggers would be breeding grounds for bacteria anymore than misters.

They keep the cage wet constantly. Honestly your veiled doesn't need it that humid. Keeping the cages pretty dry actually works well. People like to have their cages nearly completely dry between each misting. Also you have a glass aquarium which allows very little ventilation because the water settles at the bottom. Can you post a picture of your setup? If I ever do use a glass aquarium with a screen top I put it on its side so it is taller and the air can circulate better. It looks tacky but works great.

Im getting a screen 2x2x4 inclosure ready for when he gets a little bigger. I just assumed that being a tropical animal they would want it humid. I cant post a picture from my phone but i believe i have an updated pic in one of my other posts. New vield owner i think

In a fully mesh viv like reptibreeze it wouldn't be so bad but in a glass or wooden viv it will stay damp and eventually mold
