i seem to be having a dissagreement between my digital temperature gun and my exo terra digital hygro, the temperature on the hygro seems to be like 7 degrees off from what my temp gun is saying anyone know of any defects with the exo terra that would cause this difference in temperture, i scanned the sensor and it was still off 7 ,

how close is the gauge from the basking light? I seen a big difference once I moved mine from the basking light.

Maybe a defective unit? I use digital ones, I got it from walmart for about 10 bucks, Seems to work pretty good!

well the humidity part seems to work fine it when it comes to the temperture that the issue arise's i bought a decent temp gun so i trus it more then then exo terra digital one

Are u shooting with the gun through a screen. The gun shoots surface where the digital shoots air and obviously its self so shoot ur temp unit. Or get multiple temp gauges anilog or digital from diff. Manufacturers and see how they differ to help on who's right here lol
