Humidity?

Hey guys, I have a 260 gallon screen terrarium for my veiled and I am having a bit of trouble keeping the humidty up. I have a Zoo Med Reptifogger but it doesnt do much due to the size of the tank. Any help?

HMMMM......WELL TO KEEP THE HUMIDITY UP, USUUALLY YOU JUST NEED-LIVE PLANTS, DRIPPER, SPRAY BY HAND, AND OF COURSE A HUMDIDFIER(YOUR REPTIFOGGER). bUT THE CAGE DOES SOUND REALLY BIG, SO SORRY BUT IM STUMPED

In your tank where the cham lives and I wanted to know where you are geographically located.

Reptifoggers have never really worked well.

Purchase a humidifier. If the humidity where you live is low, think about buying a swamp cooler with a low setting.

the tanks humidity is usually around 40 to 50 percent and i live in southern ontario

you mean 40-50 after misting or running your fogger?

To tell you the truth, as long as he is getting enough water throughout the day, the humidity wont matter as much since he's a veiled. Just make sure to mist for long periods of time (5+ minutes) and you're good.

its 40 to 50 when i havent done anything but with the fogger and misting its about 70 to 80

my humidity is 60% without misting and shoots up to about 80-90% with the dripper going also. Do you have alot of live plants in your cage?

only one but its fair sized

your reptarium sounds rather large. I have a 25 gallon fish tank and yours is 10 times the size. I would definitely add some more live plants to it for sure.

Good idea, what kind of plants do you recommend?

pothos, umbrella plants, ficus, and maybe hibiscus

You are in Canada so I am not sure what is available up by you. Can you get Ficus or Sheffelera(Umbrella plant)? Hibiscus work well but are sometimes hard to keep indoors. They bloom flowers and do better outdoors with the sunlight.
