Humidity

Whats the purpose of the humidity, and im going to get a baby veil cham, whats a good humidity for it to be at. raisingkitty website doesnt say the humidity, so far my cage stays around 40% humidity, and when i spray it down it gets to 80's or so and is it alright if it gets that high??

Just sick of people not using the search function! That's what its there for. 4 different Humidity threads on the main page all asking the same thing

I guess that would depend on where you live. Here in Long Beach I rarely have to run mine to keep it in the 50-60 range. At night the humidity here goes up naturally, so I don't have to turn it on at night.

Humidity should be highest in the morning (and when you mist throughout the day). 40% is okay for ambient, but aim for a little higher. 80% is fine for during a spraying, but shouldnt stay that high all the time for a veiled or panther

Thats wasnt your question. Your Question was what is it for and what should it be at? Any of the threads I linked will answer that. The third one with Summoner12's illustration of how ot make one will answer why you need it.

And yes, the search bar is an amazing thing..if not on here, on google. Thats what I do for people on here.. I take My time to google answers if I do not know the answer myself. Anyone could do that for themselves and as Sancho stated, we wouldnt have 3 of the same topic on the main page. We are very pleased you found the site and are wanting advice, but its just easier/simpler if you actually try to find the answer first. Have a nice night.

Found a temp.humidity apparatus at walmart for 7,64 to those who are wanting to know where to get one. And its Accurite as suggested. I find that Flukers isnt good quality and costs twice as much. I found it in the hardware dept.
