Humidity problems

Hey, I have a male Jackson's Chameleon and I am worried about his humidity. During misting it peaks at 70% and drops to 40% in between. I know this is not good for him so can somebody help me with this.

I have tried for months and still can't get it any higher.

There are several options. You can cover three sides with something to help maintain the humidity. Certain enclosures are built with solid sides but they are a bit pricey (the route I'm taking). Also having live plants helps hold the humidity longer. Some people use cool mist humidifiers along with misting systems to help maintain humidity. I hope this helps!

You can also bring up the humidity in your room in general a bit so it doesn't steal humidity from your cage. The other thing you should do is verify if your hygrometer is accurate. The cheaper ones can be off by 10% or more. Live plants rock as mentioned above.
