Hello all, new to this forum and have a question. Our Panther chameleon has been with us about 8 months now and seems to be doing fairly well. However, I do not feel he is getting enough moisture. We currently have a Reptirain unit set to mist every 6 hours for 30 seconds (off at night). Also running a small portable cool humidifier next to cage also off at night. My problem is feeding crickets and misting times. if we feed just before mist goes off crickets die off. Also cage is 5 sided screen with bottom of cage that has a solid plastic floor. so if too much moisture water accumulates and I assume this is no good for Panther either. How do we get this set up to work properly and get him enough moisture with proper drainage and not killing his food at the same time. Also once figured out do we increase moisture all at once of slowly build volume. I see some set ups that are very rain forest like not sure how much to start with after all this time of insufficient moisture. Please help
