i purchased a room humidifier for jackson pollock, the instructions say to add a pinch of salt to increase the steam produced
any input would be greatly appreciated.
also how could i safely modify the humidifier to drop water vapor into his cage?

What type of humidifier do you have...evaporative or ultrasonic? Or, did you get a vaporizer that heats the water to produce steam rather than room temp mist? The difference is important. A vaporizer will produce hot steam that won't be safe for a cham. I've never added salt to any type of humidifier and used them for years.

Depending on the particular model of humidifier you have, you can connect PVC pipe to the spout, run a section of pipe to the top of your cage so the fog is directed where you want it.
