So when I hold my veiled chameleon nowdays about 1 foot away from my face, he aim stright for my eye and opens his mouth...it worries me that he might yank my eye out of the socket or really hurt if he aim long enough to attack. Anyone have this problem?

you are joking right? Well, if not, then I would say do not hold him a foot away from your eye then!!!!!! Wonder why he views your eye as food?

It's happened to people on here, where the cham shoots for their eye. But don't worry, he won't pull your eye out. The people that have experience with this will tell you it was horrible and a little painful, but they were fine. I don't think they could actually blind you, it's probably no more dangerous than just poking your finger in your eye by accident.

Feed him a little more and see if he's too full to want to hunt anything else!

Ive had a panther female zap my eyeball (presumably believing my pupil was a bug). Its not a great feeling. I dont recommend finding out for yourself.

Years ago one of my male Oustaletis used to key in on my eyes on a regular basis. He got me twice, very uncomfortable but in the end no harm. One of my male Parsonii got me once also..Now that one hurt.
