HUGE grasshopper!!!!!

Well just right now the wind WENT CRAZY FAST and i ran outside to get some rose leafs and all of a sudden i see a HUGE grasshopper fly by me and my dog hits it when its on the leaf and i was searching 10 minutes for it and BAM i see it stuggling to get up and i had a bag on me so i caught it!!! i have no idea what im going to do with it maybe ill just let it go but its hopping like crazy in the cage i have so enjoy these 2 pics! pics arent that good

That is most probably a Schistocerca. Possibly a Gray Bird Grasshoppers (Schistocerca nitens). Great chameleon food. Just be cautious if you feed that hopper out that it has not come from an area that has been exposed to pesticides and being WC has the potential of having parasites.

i would NEVER feed wc i know people do it all the time but i dont want to risk it and get a $1,000.00 vet bill for anti-biotics and stuff
