If you are new to chameleons, and it sounds like you are, you should try to start with one that's a little older.
To answer your question: When one month old they eat very small prey such as fruit flies, pin head crickets (gutloaded and dusted with calcium), baby silkworms, etc. Things to be aware of include: they dehydrate faster than larger older chameleons, so mist around (not on /at) them several times a day. Keep the temps warm generally; a heat bulb isnt really necessary or desirable when they are that young. Still need the UVB tube.
