OK thanks next time we buy him some we will try this thanksIf you feed hoppers take the long back legs off that have the spikes on them!
Thanks we will look for small ones thanksYou may want to try a slightly smaller hopper, it may entice him more.
Thank you I've just ordered a feeder cup to try thisIf he will cupfeed the feeders,I will suggest mix the hopper with ur crickets together,he might miss the cricket n pick the hopper up , so he can taste it n hopefully get hook on it.
Yeah I think they are also known as locusts and grass hoppersWhat is a hopper? Grass Hopper, Locust? Never heard them referred to as Hoppers or is it something else?
U can just use a medium size deli cup to do the cup feed, punch the hole and tie it on the branch or cage.Thank you I've just ordered a feeder cup to try this
Thanks the feeder cup arrived today. Do put food in the bottom for gut-loading or not? ThanksU can just use a medium size deli cup to do the cup feed, punch the hole and tie it on the branch or cage.
U can gotload the feeders prior to feed ur cham, for crickets gutloads them 4 to 5 hours before, dubia roaches u can gutload them the night before since they have a bigger digestive system than the crickets, and u can always leave a small piece of carrot in the feeder cup for them to nibble on it.Thanks the feeder cup arrived today. Thanks I do gut load but wasn't sure if I was to put food in the bottom or not. I've tried looking for small dubia roaches but I can't find any in our pet shop so he just has crickets and occasionally silk worms which he absolutely lovesU can gotload the feeders prior to feed ur cham, for crickets gutloads them 4 to 5 hours before, dubia roaches u can gutload them the night before since they have a bigger digestive system than the crickets, and u can always leave a small piece of carrot in the feeder cup for them to nibble on it.
U can feed the silkworm as his main staple feeder,or other type of roaches will fit in his mouth. Thanks I do gut load but wasn't sure if I was to put food in the bottom or not. Oh I thought silk worms could only be fed occasionally as they are high in fat. I will get some more and keep a look out for smaller feeders as I want him to have a varied dietU can feed the silkworm as his main staple feeder,or other type of roaches will fit in his mouth.
Silky eats mulberry leaves or mulberry chows, they are plant eater, shouldn't be much fat in them.Oh I thought silk worms could only be fed occasionally as they are high in fat. I will get some more and keep a look out for smaller feeders as I want him to have a varied diet
