How to introduce fruit and veggies

Hi I was wondering how everyone got there chams to eat fruit and veggies.

Veiled chameleons like certain kinds of plants, fruits, and vegetables it’s natural for them to show an interest in those things.

Yeah I have a veiled and I've been trying to offer him fruits and veggies but he never takes it's as if he doesn't realise they are food so I was wondering how people offer them to their chams

As I understand it's only really a source of hydration. Gutloaded insects are priority.

I’ve never seen my veiled shoot it’s tongue at anything I would hold things in front of his face and let him rip pieces off

Never seen him shoot his tongue at any vegetables or fruit. Had to make that clear

No problem glad it helped. Just be careful with using tongs or anything that could possibly brake a tooth they only get one set of teeth they don’t replace like other animals.

Chams will also get their tongues stuck to tongs. Seen it happen a few times.
