How to gut load ?

So I've been wondering this a lot since I have Aristotle (3/5 ambilobe). What I just do is place a bowl with water crystals and another bowl with the dry gutload inside the feeders bin, And simple replace the bowls when necessary. I don't know if this is the proper way to gutload. Since I've red that the best way is just give the food 6 hours prior of feeding th cham. But how do you know this way that the crickets that you give to the cham are gutloaded ?

I usually like to gut load at least 24hr before feeding. Giving your crickets veggies and fruits is good too( kale, sweet potato , carrots, oranges). Your chameleon will get the nutrients from well fed feeders. You can use your older produce as feeder food. :)

I feed a home made dry gutload, fruits and veggies to all of my feeders at all times. I put the dry gutload just in the container and I use plastic lids to place the fruits and veggies on. I feed enough to last 2 days and replace all food every other day. You will have a healthier feeder colony if you just feed them good food all the time, plus you wont have to guess whether or not they have gutloaded properly.

Edit: and I dont use water crystals, the fruits and veggies provide plenty of moisture.
