How to get a vieled to open mouth?

So I need to give Kinji his medicine for his MBD by mouth twice a day. I have been putting him in front of my space heater until he gets hot and opens his mouth, then squirt in the goods. This requires a lot of handling which chams are not too keen on...
Is this a good idea? I don't know any other method... ideas?

just pick him up and than place your fingers between his jaws and he will probally open up. or when you feed and he's chewing put it in. or inject the feeders than feed. or mist and when his drinks put the drops on his nose and he will drink it. but no what your doing is causeing stress and that heat probally doesnt feel nice. hope that helps

That's what I did for my Tommy when he had to have pain meds. You get used to it after a while, and as long as the chameleon is eating, then the meds will get into him. I used to only feed one locust a day with meds in to ensure that he would be hungry enough to eat every day. Maybe you could try two smaller feeders and separate the dose that way, but remember not to feed too late in the day as they need the heat from basking to digest properly.

Injecting the feeders is good and my fist choice but sometimes they want eat the feeders and I'll have to pull down on the chin just behind the mouth to get them to open.

If you drip water on the nose and it starts to drink you can slip the meds into the mouth while its open. Don't squirt it in...the chameleon might aspirate it.
