How safe is tap water

Hello cham fans,
I live in Miami fl and I house my chams outdoors. I recently set up a patio misting system
Hooked up to a dig timer that is fixed to the hose fixture. Now I dont have a filter hooked up to it so its running straight tap water. I was wondering if anyone housing panthers outdoors in fl have had any issues with using tap water. Does anyone know of a affordable way to have a filter installed to this type of system?

I think that is a very broad question and varies upon where you live and the quality of your water. I live in lake worth and use tap water but I do not use an automatic mister. I would imagine that some of the hard waters can clog them. As far as being safe for your chameleon to drink, I would say again depends on how chemically altered your water is. I hav e a large outdoor cage and I have been misting my chamleon for the past couple years with a fine mist from my hose. I also hand mist. He is still alive and kicking. I might catch some flack for what i just said but it gives the same effect as the rain or a misting machine as far as I am concerned.
