How old do you think my guy Gus is? I got him in July and just assumed he was like three months old because most pet stores sell their veiled chameleons around three months old. The first picture here is when I brought him home. When I compared actual photos of three month old veiled chameleons. Most of them are mainly Green. They haven’t gotten their stripes yet. I’m so excited to get him that I forgot to ask how old he were. It’s now October three months later and he’s gotten much bigger (second picture) but I still don’t know his age. How old do you think he is?

Going by colors and casque size, Gus looks to have been around 5 months or so when you got him. Veileds do grow super fast & the boys develop their colors around 3 1/2 to 4 months old. He will keep growing (but not so quickly) up until he’s around 10-12 months old. Btw, Gus is very handsome.
