I guess you mean the UVB bulbs? I switch mine out every 6 months.

The basking light can be switched when it burns out. UVB every 6 months

i switch out my repti-glo bulbs every 6 months and my reptisun bulbs every 8 months or so...if you are using a lot of bulbs, or just one, you should check out a solarmeter...that way you will know if you have a bad bulb and not throw out any bulbs that last longer than 6-8 months... lightyourreptiles (site sponsor) has them on sale through the end of the month for 149.50 (originally like $200) which might seem like a lot, but in the long run it will save you money on bulbs and if you every get out of the hobby you can still sell them for like $100
