Aside from when they're too hot?
Got back from the vet and since we couldn't get a catheter down his trachea to inject and remove saline for a culture we're not sure. X-rays show clear lungs.
He gaps more than I ever recall. Cool temps as well. We're going to try nebulizing some antibiotics he can breath directly into his lungs and see if that helps.
After 10 days of Baytril followed by 10 of Fortaz he stopped doing it as much now he's doing it more.
I'm wondering if at the end of the day its just a habit and not get too stressed over it. Does your animal gap for no apparent reason throughout the day?
