How often do you handle your chameleon?

Hi! My chameleon picklet is finally tamed and lets me get her out now without hissing at me. I have been handling her so far once a month. I know they get stress easy but i would like to know how long you guys hold handle your chameleon?

I hold mine everyday for about a minute or two. Sometimes more. Normally it's to take him outside in his pet carrier, give medication, ect. Usually he lets me help him get up somewhere . Today he put his front feet on my finger and drank from a syringe. He will drink straight from the dripper if I hold it up to him.

He has been struggling with calcium deficiency for about a month now on top of eye problems and respiratory problems. So I was forced to force feed repaid and carnivore care. He is coming around and has gotten very well acquainted with me now. Doesn't mind me sticking my hand up to him or picking him up anymore. Wouldnt say he particularly likes being handled. But he doesn't show his stress black colors anymore.

I handle mine everyday, but mostly to move them from outdoors to indoors, or vice versa.

My family and I are chameleon breeders. We (all 4 of us family members) handle all our breeders and babies on a daily basis (sometimes many times a day). They do not object, that is all they are use to!

Some chameleons never get that timed. They all have unique personalities. We just don't keep nor breed chameleons like that.

I handle my chameleon every day. I think if you get them used to being handle and it doesn't seem to stress them out then you can handle them as many times a day that is needed. For example when Tony's lights come on and he warms up he tries to let himself out. In fact I'm the one who has to put him back so he can eat drink and sleep lol. Left up to him he'd spend the days roaming the house without ever even thinking of his cage again. So if you're chameleon likes to be handled then I say you should keep it up and then maybe it won't want to live in its cage either.

is getting better. Slowly. It's been slightly over three weeks since his bad fall into some water...hence the respiratory issues. Repaid has been working wonders. He is drinking a ton. Eating consistently the past few days, a lot less falling, more strength and energy. Started a shed this week. He has doubled his weight. And best of all, the swelling around his neck is completely gone. Been making sure to dust his crickets with calcium everyday plus give him carnivore care a couple times a week to help fatten him back up lol!!

Mine doesn't love to be handled and feels safe in his cage. I bring him out when necessary but not too often. He's still getting used to us, and I'm not sure what his prior home was like. Don't want to stress him

My Frances likes to come out of her enclosure , check out her surroundings ,hang out in her window . She does not like being handled . If she feels like it she might climb on us but we let her do what she wants . Unless it's meds ,cleaning or showers we don't handle her .

I handle my Cham everyday!! Even though he will be in a grumpy mood I will take him out. I have a mini free rang for him on my night stand and he will bask in the sun light. I handle him so often bc I want him to be comfortable with the human hand and be friendly towards everyone
