How NOT to handle chameleons (Video)

Here's a perfect example of what one should avoid when photographing chameleons. If you can't get the shot you need by patiently waiting for it, restraining the animal by its tail isn't going to get you there.

Plain old stupidity. There are videos all over youtube with people giving inaccurate chameleon care videos. There is also a fair share of videos where people terrorize their chams. It's frustrating to watch this kind of stuff.

Ah, you saw the ad, Joe. The fact that it's being used for promotional purposes is worse-- herein lies the importance of purchasing from reputable sources.

It's a male Mt. Meru (or dwarf) Jackson's chameleon (T. jacksonii merumontanus). Definitely one under stress.
