How much should an 11 month old veiled chameleon be eating?

I recommend using a variety of veggies for gut loading. I never use spinach, I can't remember why but it's not recommend for gut load. I gut load the feeders with greens such as collard greens, mustard, turnip, dandelion, endive and sometimes kale. I also use bell pepper, carrots, butternut squash apple and orange. You can also buy a premixed dry gut load. Several of the Forums members sale it.

I would also recommend a large variety of feeders and not just locusts. If I have a healthy 11 month old male veiled (not skinny) I feed him 8 or so appropriate size feeders every other day. Please post a photo of him.

Thanks for the feedback. I Gut load the locusts with various veg and fruit but I mostly use spinach as they seem to make short work of it, I'll keep them off spinach from now on. My chameleon was a good eater. Eating about 8-9 every other day like normal and over time he'll started only eat 2 maybe 3 a day.

If he's only eating 2 or 3 then he may have a problem. Please fill out the Ask For Help Form and post some photos of him and his set up.
