How many Crix a day?

Ok, I know for babies you should let them eat as many crickets as they want.
My guy is now almost 7 months old, and he has been upgraded to medium to large sized crickets.
So since he is starting to reach adulthood, how many crickets should he be eating per day?
Right now he eats about 5-10 medium crickets everyday. Is that alright or should I add more/ use less?

Thanks!

i think i remember reading to only give them like 5-8 crix a day so i think ur on the right track. i think when there even older u can reduce it even more.

Yea, i know whenhe reaches full adulthood to reduce feedings to about every other day, but since hes still growing dont want to reduce too much.
I mean, yesterday he finished off about 9 crickets in an hour. So i dont want to over feed him ( i hate chasing crickets down in his cage) but I dont want to under feed him either.

Thanks

When I got my new guy they couldnt tell me his exact age, and I havent been able to find out, I was wondering about his feeding, the store told me 4-5 small crickets a day, but he gulps them down in only a few mins, and still hunts like hes hungry, he is about 3 inches long when perched on my hand(not including his tail)... should I be feeding him more? I know he needs them to grow, but I dont want to over feed him either. The crickets are fed fresh fruits and veggies, with repti vitamins and calcium as well as Flucker's cricket quencher.

Can you post of pic of him? Babies should be allowed to eat as many crickets as they can handle.

From 6 months to 1 year feed once or twice daily about 8 to 15 insects in total. :)

I tried feeding daily, I would put about 10 medium crickets in his cage, and he wouldnt eat them. However when I started feeding him every other day he would eat.
He would someitmes just leave the crickets in the cup for a day or so. ANd its such a pain to remove the crickets.

I just leave my crickets in the cage:rolleyes: but if you find that every other day works better for your's, I would just keep doing it that way

I used to just leave them, however I found that the supplements were eventually coming off,or he would knock over his cup and they would get loose,
I think feeding him every other day seems to be working for him.

I'm the sme as camimom.

Fredo would not eat that well if i left them in there everyday, and the calcium would come off. So i switched to feeding tuesday thursday saturday sunday. Sunday he eats as much as he wants. He puts weight on better this way and seems to be easier for me as well.

If it works, don't fix it :D

My Waldo, 7 months old, will eat everything anytime i put it in. If i wanted to put a total of 30 crickets in his cage they will be gone in 15 minutes. Every worm I throw in gone immediately. He has an appetite like his owner =)
So I usually put 5 medium/large sized crickets in his cup, twice a day (morning and afternoon) with the occasional silk or horn worm here and there.

Yea my guy is not that food obsessed. Hes hungry yea, but he eat what he wants to and leaves the rest. He doesnt gobble his food down like he hasnt been fed in weeks.
