How long u leave ur mister or raindome on for?

I just ordered the Aquazamp and wonder how long u guys leave the water on spraying or on the rain dome and how many hours apart before it turns on again?

I have a XXL reptibreeze and I havent figured out a drainage method yet...so I need something it to run for like 35 seconds and then run again a few hours later.... Will that be enough water for the cham to drink and not flood my enclosure or get water on my floors?

I don't have my AquaZamp yet but am ordering it next week. I don't have an answer for you but I would like to know what you figure out for both run time and drainage if you don't mind. I do know I have seen some pretty clever drainage systems on this forum. One of my favorites because it looks easy was the idea of going to your local hardware superstore (Home Depot, Lowe's etc.) and buying a cheap vanity consisting of a small cabinet with a sink on top with no plumbing hardware. drill hole or holes in the bottom of your cage and set it on top of vanity with a catch bucket underneath. I looked at them a couple of nights ago at Lowe's and saw some for around $100. I think I may go that route.

I got the XXL reptibreeze with the AZ premium rain dome. I have it running 5min 2x a day(7am and noon), its uses 1.5 gallons a week. I have the cage sitting in a home depot washer overflow tray so the floor doesnt get wet. Combined with a very small fan(12v PC fan running at 5v) at the bottom of the cage the water is all dried up after 2 hours. I might add one more watering around 4-5pm but thats also feeding/bed time sometimes, so there might be a conflict

I run my mist king for 5 minutes 4 times a day, but I also have a Jacksons and he needs more water. My panther just has to put up with it as they are connected to the same system.

It all depends on the species, my panthers get three misting a of three mins morning, mid day an afternoon an a one minute burst in between them an the parsons four 10 min misting every two an a half hours

I like the sound of your method..I think Im gonna try that... I figure since I hand mist my cham now and there hasn't been any problems, I think your schedule sounds quite close to my schedule for hand misting even though I do it by hand every 4 hours instead of ur 2 hours.

Same for me. Daytime only. Works great. Doesn't drown my live plants, but keeps my cham's well watered.
