How long to keep my gravid female covered up in her cage???

How long should I keep my female covered up? Its been over 30 days since we put her with our male and she shows her gravid colors and acts gravid, so how long is too long or what is a good amount of time? Also do I leave her lights on while she is covered up?

Are you completely covering the cage? As long as she is not in a high traffic area and is out of sight of the male, you don't need to cover the cage.

Right now she is in our upstairs front room...its kind of a high traffic area and the male is in the same room! Im trying to make a spot so the female and male are in seperate rooms...would that be a better idea?

Hi again! Def leave the lights on the same cycle as you would normally e.g. 12 hours on and 12 off. If she is unable to get enough privavcy down in her laying box it may be worth leaving her covered up so she feels happy enough to lay

Forgot to say gestation for panthers is around 20 -45 days
