how long before i disturb the substrate?

So over the past two almost three days i have had three baby bearded pygmies hatchlings appearing in my viv. I have obviously separated them into their own tank. My dad found one this morning while i was at work and put the little munchkin in with his siblings. I have yet to find anymore today and am still patiently awaiting. I was wondering how long i should wait before disturbing the substrate in the parents cage to clean it and search for any unhatched eggs? Some people have been telling me it could be up to a week for others to hatch if there is any more. Is this accurate?

It can take longer than a week. I would leave them in there, why do you want to remove them if they were fertile?

how long have you had them in this cage? if you have had mom an dad awhile there could be more eggs burried an disturbing could mess them up, what i did is if i seen her lay them id take them out otherwise i didnt want to take the chance of disturbin one that may be burried..
congrats on the little ones they are really fun to watch...

I just wasn't sure at all, because i was monitoring her for digging when she was pudgy to incubate the eggs but nothing. Obviously she laid them at night or something, but i wasn't too sure how long i should wait or if i should disturb the substrate at all because the substrate isn't that moist at all. I mean it is eco earth fine coconut husk but the past few days it has been scorching hot here up in the 90's and 100'S with humidex so i was concerned that maybe it would dry out any other possible eggs and trap them in there or make it alot harder for them to hatch. Is that possble? I've been lightly misting the suspected egg area a few times a day and it seems after every time i mist, later on after that another on appears

the parents have been in there for maybe about 5-6 months i believe? I'm not too sure, but regardless myself and my friends seen how fat she was for the longest time and i was watching so closely so i could incubate them, but the little devil probably dug and hid them away at night. I dont think there would be any more than the initial eggs she has recently layed in there. But how long after laying eggs could it take for her to become egg bound again? Because from the looks of it her belly is starting to get bigg again hahaha they just can't resist eachother

hmm 90-100? if you viv gets that hot the parents wouldnt make it either they need cooler then that id say keep the mistin the same as you have it worked for the ones that hatched so far.myself unless you see her lay the eggs i would just leave them to incubate in the viv

ohhhh nooo nooo! i mean general temp here outside, my viv temp usual for the pigs is a constant 72-75 but i mean obviously lately since the summers here my viv has been around 78-80 very max day time, with a slight temp drop at night. which the parents are comfortable in with their 2 daily mistings and obviously has been the perfect incubation temp for the eggs. But what do you think about the eggs drying? With my daily mistings it should be fine? Then clean out the substrate in a few weeks?

It's been killer hot outside lately and been getting dryer with the heat and such, and its supposed to be super hot like that for the next few weeks. so i was worried about it affecting the eggs in anyway

ohhhh nooo nooo! i mean general temp here outside, my viv temp usual for the pigs is a constant 72-75 but i mean obviously lately since the summers here my viv has been around 78-80 very max day time, with a slight temp drop at night. which the parents are comfortable in with their 2 daily mistings and obviously has been the perfect incubation temp for the eggs. But what do you think about the eggs drying? With my daily mistings it should be fine? Then clean out the substrate in a few weeks?

72-75 is good i wouldnt let it get over 80 i know when ive taken my little one outside to clean there baby bin an take pics it was like 85 out an they didnt like it at all we hadta go b in the house...if ya find the coco fiber to be alil dryer may add a light 3 misting.. how long have you had them? i know its been over 60 days sense the lil ones hatched out. if you have had them awhile there could be awhole other clutch burried ya mite disturb cleaning, like with mine i saw her diggin and i took them out, but my female laid another clutch of 4 before the first ones hatched out which i saw her dig in almost the same spot the first ones were so id almost bet that there is another clutch hidin in there somewhere...

ya its never ever over 80 in the parents cage, when its 80 ill usually shut off their light till it returns to the lowest ambient temp i cant get it right now which is usualy 77-78 because of the heat. And the babies, not sure if you got that mixed up or not but the 1st hatchling i found yesturday morning, the 2nd in the evening, and we found one this morning around 10am or so. Ya i've noticed the substrate is a bit dry, thats why i was so shocked and surprised to see the 1st baby yesturday because the top of the substrate is light brown, but then again a lot of the moisture in the substrate is nearer to the bottom probably where she had laid them
