How fast do they grow?

I was reading up on Veileds, fully grown at 2ft long in 12 months!? Damn! I was just wondering, with my Veiled at 5 months, when should i upgrade from my 16 x 16 x 30 to a 24 x 24 x 48? Id like to get one in August, but i dont know if my guy will be big enough yet. Hes about 4.5 - 6 inches long.

Welcome to the site. August should be good timing to get your little guy into a bigger cage. They grow quickly in their first year.

Thanks, yea, i figured they grew fast considering they only live 5 years.. My pet mouse growing up lived longer!

They grow really quickly, Usain Bolt fast. I also had the 16x16x30 and moved him into a 24x24x48 at 5-6 months. Mine is 11 months old and is at around 16" from head to tail. From what I've read, they'll get to be 24 inches in the wild, but may not grow to be that size in captivity. Keep up the good work and the cheapest price right now for the 24x24x48 reptibreeze screen cage is $89 on Amazon at the moment. I paid $98 in March from Walmart.com which was the cheapest then. Shop around and you'll find some good deals!

Yep, i was going to get mine off Amazon since i can get it for really good prices with Prime
