I recently joined a seahorse forum and, after having a membership here for awhile I bacame very frusterated trying to navigate it. Made me more appreciative of the great work that the team has and is doing, to make and keep this forum great. That is prpbabaly one of the reasons that I spend more time than I should here, love all the baby pics!:D

LOL at seahorse forum(no offense) now i know there is a forum for everything.

Do you keep seahorses? I find them fascinating! I remember visiting an aquarium at Fort Regent in Jersey (the Island, not America) as a child and found them captivating!:D I would agree - this forum is a great place for everything chameleon and everything else too, lol!

i keep a seahorse (hippocampus reidi), they are awsome creatures but not for a beginner, i bought a pair in december and one died after a week. i still have my other one though. i dont clean the tank regularly, but he/she seems to thrive in the calm algea waters, seahorses are also considered crestations, so all the micros forming in the tank are probably a food source when i dont feed it. i love them, i actually did a salt water aquarium before chameleons, awsome hobby to get into, but you can never go wrong with herps :D

have you heard of sea dragons? i guess they are basically the same thing, can you keep those in an aquarium too? i think thats what there called anyway, they look like a more exotic type of seahorse, one of the coolest things i've seen.

sea dragons are amazing animals but im almost positive they're highly endangered.

its possible to get sea dragons. but for such a brittle animal, it is not worth paying 1200$ for one. they get crazy expensive.

sea dragons

Actually that was one of the posts that I was following on the seahorse forum, they look to run about $4 K and need like an 8 ft tank due to there mating dance. I have Kudas, and just like the chams they aren't difficult as long as your not looking to take short cuts intheir care. Love all of my little creatures, people joke that I should charge admission.:p
