how do you get your chameleon to like you? my chameleon doesn't seem to like me...he turns a dark green, brown or black /:

How long have u had your cham and what kind is he?
They can take weeks or months to semi-tame (if ever!!)
Try hand feeding like kokom said every day and ignor and leave him alone the rest of the time.

hes a jacksons cham...ive had him for 2 months and he wont eat anything but crickets 
im doing an experiment by leaving different bowls of bugs in the cage and see which ones he eats cause hes really picky

I put a chair next to the cage to sit on since he doesnt like a lot of hand movement. I had good luck with diff feeders buy using a white ceramic bowl. The high contrast seems to get them in the mood. Mine wont eat dubia out of the standard cricket feeder.

try finding something he really likes to eat, and make sure your the only one to give it to him. then he will look be wanting to see you

Free ranging and hand feeding is the best thing you can do.
Nearly all of our chameleons are handleable, hand feed, comfortable around people and mostly get a long with each other. We have 22 chameleons - all hand feed. All are easy to handle but two of them. They usually kind of tolerate it but it is obviously not what they want. The rest do not mind.
I've gotten them to this point by ignoring a lot of the advice to put them in a cage away from noise and movement as well as the advice to leave them be for days or weeks to "settle in"
Ours are interacted with from the time they come home - usually they are held on the car ride home and photographed with my cell phone while my hubby drives. They are then placed on a hanging free-range environment in my living room where they can see us and other chameleons. I start offering food by hand the first day. Once they adjust and I am certain they are healthy they will usually get a cage to live in but all get daily free range time and see and hang out with each other - males and females are kept separated for obvious reasons. Our melleri do not like the others (veileds, panthers) coming into their territory but the others are used to each other.
When we hatch babies they are also interacted with from the get go.
When we bring home a rescue that is ill or has not been cared for properly we do keep them comepletely separated for longer to not stress them or spread anything.
Ours will often come to where ever we are and see if we've got any bugs for them. They will climb right onto us and expect a ride to some other part of the house ...

Respect.....When ours dont want to come out then we leave them. As you get used to each other I think you learn to understand each other. Some days ours see us enter the room and scratching at the lock to get out. Other times we go in and they back off....on those days we respect them enough to let it be. That certainly builds up their trust.
Dont try taking them out by backing them into corners or by grabbing them, you run the risk of one of you getting hurt. We close our hands shut and tilt them down, then take the back of you hand to their feet, we raise our elbow to give your arm height and then they often climb on this way.
I think this way is less scarey than a huge hand coming into your home and grabbing at you.
Good Luck, take your time and the patience will pay off.
