How Do You Get Thermometer To Stick?

I am using a combo thermometer/hydrometer to measure temp and humidity in PJs cage, but darn if I can't get that thing to stick to the mesh!

Does anybody have any advice or clever ideas? I've tried double sided mounting tape, duct tape, and the sticky stuff it came with.

Silicone rtv caulk. its what holds aquariums together.

I hot glued one of those twines with a metal piece in it(don't know the english word for it lol) onto the meters then just stick it through the mesh and there you go

Twist ties? I was also thinking some kind of wire would secure it well to the screen. I make copper wire jewelry, so I have copper wire for days.

Stick the thermometer to something portable (piece of plastic with a hang hole punched in it) and hang that wherever you want in the cage. Hanging it on the mesh may not give you accurate readings anyway.

I ended up sticking the velcro it came with onto two strong magnets, placing one inside and one outside the cage. Works great so far.
