Because my chameleon is so scared of humans, I never get to see him eat. I'm never sure how much of it really gets eaten. How to I tell if he's skinny? Sometimes he looks fat, other times thinner.
How do I tell if my cham is skinny?

Can you post a picture?? A way to keep track is to cup feed, then you can see what he is eating. Often times, crickets hide and you think your chameleon is eating them and he is not. What kind of chameleon do you have? Also a picture of your set up would be helpful. If you are new to chameleon keeping, it is a good idea to make sure you have all the requirements to keep your chameleon healthy.
