@tanneruv You have been told what type of light you need...a linear (long) T5HO with a 5.0 uvb bulb. Using a compact uvb bulb is not able to provide adequate levels of uvb. This has been proven with many years of study and experience. Providing the wrong type of uvb, the animal can’t properly synthesize calcium into a usable form. It’s bones will become soft, it will start having neurological (brain) problems and eventually die a slow and painful death. Way too many people have come to the forum with very sick and dying animals that are beyond saving from using the type of light you are insisting on using. Please, either listen to the advice you have been given or release the poor animal.
This is the proper fixture and bulb.
