how do I help with stuck shed?

Hey guys. So Rango has been shedding for a while now but he isn't getting all his dead skin off. It's been Like this for about a month now. Ive upped the mistings and started to give him more showers. What else should I do or should i just leave it alone? Also, it doesnt seem to be bothering him at all.

Any pictures? It may come off with the next shed. If he is the one in your avatar he might be getting to the size that the part of his body that the shed has not come off yet is not ready. Stay with the shower and mistings though.

Yeah, he is the one in my avatar but that was taken like 5 months ago. I will post pics tomorrow. He's sleeping right now.

Unless it's around a limb (or the tail or neck) it's not really a problem. It will probably come off with the next shed. Don't give in to temptation and try to pick it off.

dont pick

let it come off on it's own never peel the shed. you can spray him down with Zilla humidifying spray (tropical mist) it helps prevent dry skin and shedding problems. keep your humidity up that may also help. I spray my veiled with the zilla and he had no problems.

a little mineral oil on a qtip can be used to get off small picec of stubborn shed

that zilla is good stuff it's like 10 bucks and has lots of vitamins that are good for the skin.

it's very dry in az so thats probably why the skin is dry before he sheds it all. the zilla and keeping humidity up should help. let e know how it works out.
