Welcome to the forums. It takes time with some of the guys. Go very slow and don't move fast around him. Keep working with him and eventually he will come around.

I try that but never works :( but maybe I should do it more often but that will stress him out a bit

He's never going to be super tamed- most likely. Chameleons aren't the easiest reptile to make tame to begin with and most reptiles never become 'super tame' as they are and always will be WILD ANIMALS. They do not view things nor have the same emotions as humans or even mammals. They are instinctual animals. Truly instinctual, he may never look at you more than just a food source. He may end up hating your mere presence. You need to learn patience and understanding for what you can and can not mold into the reactions of your chameleon. And that's all you will be doing, is molding their REACTIONS, not changing their personality.

How long have you been working with him?

Well like each week I try watching him for a while trying to hold him a bit show him food but won't hand feed and that's all I do. His age is about 7 months just to let u know

No it does not, it says he is 7 months, that does not explain how long you have had him. Have you had him since he was hatched? Since he was 3 months or 4 months?

4 months isn't a long time to be working with a chameleon. They do EVERYTHING slowly. When I was rehabilitating a chameleon it didn't show any signs of improvement until 3 and a half months. Which meant 3 and a half months of force feeding and hand watering daily.

When you are trying to change their reactions they will go at their own pace. Not any faster.

*shrugs* shouldn't have gotten a chameleon if you didn't want to work, sorry to put it so bluntly but I don't like to sugar coat it when someone supposedly knows what their doing and yet complains anyway

I don't find this to be true with my reptiles.

I'm really hoping your "conclusion" is PATIENCE. These guys do everything slow, and you should as well. Everything should be done gradually at a snails pace. Being too aggressive and constantly pushing things will only cause stress to your chameleon. Good luck.

If you are holding him that's why he isn't wanting to hand feed. Usually you get them to hand feed to calm them down, and then you try to handle them. When you pick him up he is so stressed from that that he isn't going to want to eat anything. Hand feed him while he is in his enclosure, and get him used to that first before you try holding him. Like it was said it all takes patience I have had my female Jacksons for just a little over a year, and she is just now getting to where she tolerates me. And like was said some never come around I had a female Veiled that hated my guts until the day she died. Be patient, and good luck. :)

What are you trying to feed him? That played a big role in getting my veiled to start eating from my hand. Offer him his favorite treat and only offer that treat by hand. In my case, wax worms worked best. I got lucky and it only took mine 1 day before he ate out of my hand. Now he will come out and sit on my shoulder to accept food. Just be patient. Oh, when you offer him his treat, let it sit on the palm of your hand the first few times. Then you can try holding it. Best of Luck.
