How do i get rid of systemic pesticides

I got a new plant i washed it like 5 times left it out side for a couple of days got rocks. To cover the Dirt i put it inmy chameleons for about a week and a half but then i find out about systemic pesticides so i took it out today i got it from home depot it's a ficuss can some tell me if you can take it off if you can how thank you

A systemic pesticide may either need to "grow out" (it may be present in the foliage the plant has now, but won't be present in new growth) or may take months to lose its potency. I don't know. What species of cham do you have? If its not a species that tends to eat vegetation it may be OK. Just don't know. You might get some information whether its been treated systemically by calling Home Depot and asking for the source of their Ficus plants. Then call or email the grower. TELL them why you need to know, and if they can't help you say you will want a refund on a returned plant.
