Housing my veiled outside?

I have a male veiled (B.A.) approx. 10 months old.
I am considering housing him on my screened in back porch which faces west.
I live in central florida and it has been pretty hot here and well everywhere pretty much for that matter.
i have a fan on the patio for air circulation and misting would be in place.
He would also have a large area to roam around, about 4'x10' and 8' high.

My first concern is the heat. Any other suggestions?

Thank you

im pretty sure as long as after about a hour to 2 hours you move the cage to a area that is shaded you should be fine also make sure u mist allot so that he doesn't get dehydrated in the heat.

thank you:)

He would be outside full time. there is plenty of shade available, and being the west side of the house he would only see direct sunlight for a portion of the day.

I live in Florida also about 3 hours south of you. I have a large screened in patio with aluminum roof and let me tell you, it gets like an oven in ther during the day. Way hotter than outside. I know my temps get hotter in south florida. I have seen my guys gape during the day while on the patio but not outside. I don't have a mister, but a ceiling fan which helps some. Therefore I do not keep them on the patio during the day. They are either in ac or outside. I think it can be done. You would not need a heat light that is for sure atleast not now. If you have a automatic mister it can workto keep him cooled down.I would just try and see how it goes. I would not go off to work for the day and leave him though until you know he will be ok. It would be a great place when the temps cool down. No need to worry about humidity!!!

I would love to just give him this section of the patio all the time. maybe I will get it set up and babysit for a couple of days to see how it's going:)
